Energy Awareness Month

Gov. John deJongh Jr. has proclaimed October 2011 Energy Awareness Month. To mark the month the Energy Office has scheduled presentations at schools and outreaches in the Virgin Islands. One big event where the VI Energy Office staff expects to interact with many residents is the St. John Animal Care Center flea market in Cruz Bay on Oct. 22.

The staff will also be at St. Thomas (Oct. 17) and St. Croix (Oct. 14) events for educators. Director Karl Knight will be speaking to the Rotary Club on St. Croix on Oct. 19 at the Brew Pub on the Boardwalk in Christiansted at 5:30 p.m. For updates and details on these events, check back to this blog.
